The Library Day in the Life Project is a semi-annual event coordinated by Bobbi Newman of Librarian by Day. Twice a year librarians, library staff and library students from all over the globe share a day (or week) in their life through blog posts, photos, video and Twitter updates.  Check out the wiki to learn more: http://librarydayinthelife.pbworks.com/w/page/42017739/Round-7,-July-25th-through-31st-2011

Day 1 of Digipalooza was great. I talked to a lot of different kinds of librarians. It seems that everyone is very fired up about the growth of ebook popularity over the last year. It is not consistent across systems who is responsible for pioneering the effort of Overdrive implementation in libraries. There are IT people, Reference people, webmasters, collection development people, and more.

The sessions were jam packed with information. I have tons of ideas for collection development, marketing, patron assistance, and staff training.  #digip11 was where I took notes. Overdrive knows how to throw a very nice event.

Fun day ended with bowling at a fancy bowling / bar place.  Books on Tape knows how to throw a very nice party!
