2011 was a great year in many ways. I am hopeful that 2012 will be even better. I am notoriously bad with resolutions, however. I get really excited – – but keeping up the momentum to stay the course throughout the year is pretty difficult. This year I have decided to reframe how I create my goals with the hopes of obtaining better follow-through. Dave Ramsey has a pretty incredible portion of his website on goal setting: https://www.mytotalmoneymakeover.com/promotions/goal-tracker.html?ectid=bitlyified122920111047
Career
Increase communication with staff with weekly informal face-to-face conversations and wrap-up emails.
Family
Spending time away from home discovering new things together is important for my husband and me. We will plan and go on a date each week.
Financial
My husband and I will create a monthly budget, track expenses, and set monthly financial goals.
Intellectual
I will read a minimum of one book per week across multiple genres.
Physical
By December I will lower my cholesterol to optimal levels. Overall cholesterol will go below 200. I will do this naturally by eating a low fat and low cholesterol diet and exercising a minimum of four times per week.
Social
I will sign up for dance classes with my husband and attend at least one session during 2012.
Spiritual
I will continue to attend PCIR classes each Wednesday to learn more about the Episcopalian faith. I will study and pray from the Book of Common Prayer a minimum of three times per week and will ask questions as needed to fully understand what I am reading.
